14-year-old Vienna came to me with a severe rugging problem. She would bite, kick and if she was close to a wall she would try and crush you. She could be quite dangerous in the stable, as well. She would pin her ears and lunge at you. She might even try and trap you at the back of her box, if she was in a particularly good mood.
She also has horrendous sweet itch, and treating her wasn't exactly an easy task. There would be biting, kicking and even squealing involved. She sounds delightful, doesn't she?! Well, there's more.

Riding was almost impossible unless your prefered gear was reverse. Or up. She liked to rear.

A change in management and a lot of hard work on both sides have made a world of difference to both the horses happiness and the humans.

FOIGHNE

Foighne (Finn) is the class clown, always getting into trouble. She is far too inquisitve for her own good. I have owned her since she was 5 and nursed her though 2 significant injuries so she is a little behind on her training. She has matured a lot in the last couple of years, hopefully meaning she can be my babysitter for less confident horses.

She is very clever and gets bored very easily, so she keeps me on my toes!
