what do I do?

I create confident owners by working with them and their horses to create a bond based on trust and real control.

To achieve this I use a variety of methods on the ground, including clicker training and natural horsemanship, to create a language which allows a more harmonious relationship. I also work on owners equine communication skills as I have often found this to be a large part of losing and gaining confidence with horses.

In the saddle, the focus is always on confidence and fun. I use approach and retreat to help pave the way to ridden success.

ABOUT ME

Helen has worked in the equine industry since the age of 17 and has been around horses since before she was born! Her mother has been a British Horse Society accredited professional coach for nearly 40 years and so Helen has had many many lessons with her over the years.

At the age of 16 Helen decided to forge her own path and started a natural horsemanship home study program and at the moment, she is a level 3 graduate. However, she continued to attend the BHS welfare and instructors' conferences and added clicker training to her repertoire. She also chose to forgo traditional bitted bridles in preference for bitless ones as she feels they allow for true communication to take place, therefore, adding to the confidence of both horse and human.
